Last month I wrote a post with 50 writing prompts for your blog. I have loved reading back over them and find it stirring up some creativity in myself, so I thought why not share 50 more!
If you’re currently having trouble coming up with ideas for your next blog post, have no fear: I’ve compiled a list of 50 possible prompts to use. Writing prompts are a great way to get your creativity flowing!
- Define what your blog stands for. Create a manifesto!
- Share how living as a Christian has changed your life
- Write about what you’re reading right now and why
- List 10 things your grateful for
- Write about a time in your life when you’ve felt closest to God
- Write a letter of forgiveness
- Write a love letter to your body. (I did that here)
- Write about a time where God showed up unexpectedly in your life
- What songs would be included in the soundtrack of your life
- Recap your day, week, month or year in only pictures
- Write about three ways you want God to transform you
- Write your favorite scripture in prayer
- Write about what moves you
- If you could switch lives with one person, who would it be and why
- Create a mood board and share it
- Share your style
- Write about something you can’t live without
- Make a list of 30 things that make you smile
- Create freebies (wallpaper, printables, etc.) to share on your blog
- Using 10 words, describe yourself
- Write about what you would say to someone that doesn’t believe in Jesus
- Write about your favorite holiday and share why it’s your favorite
- Share your biggest fear
- Share what you would do if you had one day when I could do anything at all
- What has Jesus helped you learn from your biggest mistakes
- Share your favorite hymn, why it’s your favorite and what it means to you
- Share something you wish more people knew or believed
- Do a “12 Days of Christmas” series leading up to Christmas Day, each day sharing something about the season (family recipe, traditions, beliefs, etc.)
- Write about a strong emotion and think of two memories associated with it
- Record a vlog and share it on your blog
- Share the must haves that are always in your bag
- Write about what unconditional love look like for you
- Have you ever gotten angry at God? Write about it and how He helped you resolve it
- Share why you chose your blog name
- Write about something you’re eager for God to do in your life
- Give your favorite bloggers a shout-out and share why they are your favorites
- Write about what character in the Bible has influenced your life the most
- Share how you stay inspired
- Share your current relationship status and how God has given you grace during it
- Share what you would say if you could give one piece of advice to a large group of people
- Share a struggle you are currently going through, and what advice would you give others going through the same thing
- Give your readers a tour of your city! Share some of the hot-spots and hidden gems of where you live
- Write about what you do when you feel overwhelmed (I did that here)
- Share any tips and tricks a new blogger should know
- Share a great DIY with pictures and in-depth instructions
- Create a list (random acts of kindness, what makes you smile today, summer wish-list, bucket list, etc.)
- Share your thoughts on a current event in the news or pop culture (but be prepared for those who disagree to voice their opinion)
- Describe the most beautiful place you’ve ever been. Make your readers want to visit there too
- Write your own list of 10 blog topics to inspire us
- Write the words you need to hear
