monday blahs…

i think i have them, the monday blahs…the holiday weekend just seemed to fly by so fast  and here we are, back at work. 

we had a fabulous thanksgiving!!!  my friends michelle and jen joined us for lunch.  the food was SO good, i just love cooking thanksgiving dinner!!  after dinner we were able to sit, relax and catch up…which was nice.  i hadn’t seen michelle for probably 2 years or more. 

it was SO nice on friday to have the entire fam home, the house was clean, nothing pressing to do…just hang out and watch tv.  an all day marathon of “say yes to the dress” to be exact.  i was up early, around 6 am, and watched about 5 straight hours of that show.  and I LOVED IT!  i don’t know why i’ve never watched it before.  later on in the afternoon then joey’s friend gabe came and stayed the night…so we ordered pizza.  they stayed up well into the night playing ps2. 

saturday morning joe got called out at 5am to plow for a few hours…he was SO happy about that.  i’m not so sure i’d be as happy if i got called in to work at 5 am on a saturday.  in the afternoon we took gabe home and then went on to altoona.  i had some jeans to exchange AND we went to dinner at outback!!!  you KNOW that’s my most fav place EVER!

so tomorrow is the first day of december…my kids already have the countdown to christmas going on.  and i’ve decided for december i’m going to TRY to post every single day on the little blog here…and try to do a pic a day.  try being the key word…

♥♥♥short work week♥♥♥

oh hello there short work week…you KNOW you are one of my besties…tomorrow at 3:30 my 4 day weekend will officially start, YES!  and i can’t wait!  i’m so so so excited to cook (and eat) thursday and friday i have absolutely NO plans but to sit on my butt and veg…and enjoy the day with my fam.  saturday we are heading to altoona and having a little outback, YUM!  sounds like a pretty perfect weekend huh…
i put my christmas tree up last weekend soooo that is off my list for this weekend.  now if i could only keep the stupid cat away from it.  i read somewhere that cats hate citrus smells so i peeled an orange and hid the peels under my tree skirt…so far so good. 
so did anyone else watch the season finale of project runway?  i was SO SO SO mad that irina won, i could not STAND her at all…i really thought carol hannah should have won.

happy hump day…

we’ve officially made it half way through the week!!!  thank goodness we are on the downhill slide and the weekend is almost here.  we have a kinda sorta busy weekend coming up…skating party saturday night for football/cheer, dinner at church on sunday and teen praise night sunday night. 
last night the kids and i decided to “try” to dress raven up.  she always gets left out of dress up time, just because she is so big.  so we took a hoodie of joeys and his hat and put it on her.  let’s just say she was NOT amused…and she would rather be left out of dress up time thank you very much.  excuse the crappy pic…i took it with my blackberry…
so i’m totally done with my christmas shopping…can you even believe it?  crazy right?  i’m never EVER done this early…ever!  now…to just get things wrapped.  that’s the part i dread the most.  i usually put that off until the last second.  but not this year, i want done early and enjoy the season without stress.
i’m super super excited for thanksgiving too.  two of our good friends are coming over to enjoy the day with us.  and i seriously enjoy entertaining for the holidays, it’s my FAV.  i’ll be sure and take pics that day to share with ya’all.
