i just realized that on july 19th my little blog turned 3 years old!!! happy belated birthday bloggie…we’ve been through a lot together in the past 3 years, you and me…
garden friends…part 2…
last year i was blog hopping, as i sometimes do, and i came across one that really stopped me in my tracks. first of all, she is an awesome artist and photographer (love her work)…secondly, she had a post on there that really touched me and made me think…she was speaking of a minister and a specific sermon he gave…
He talked about how Jesus used to take a few of his most trusted friends to the
Garden of Gesthemane to lay down his heart, be honest, raw and vulnerable.
A place where He felt safe to spill and be transparent. Our minister named
those friends “Garden Friends” and he went on to ask us to think about who
the Garden Friends in our life were.
so as i was reading this my wheels started turning…who are my garden friends? who would i feel comfortable and safe enough with to bring into my garden? who do i trust with all my heart to be safe and gentle with me? do i nurture those sacred relationship and help them to grow?
so i challenge you as her post challenged me…take a stroll through the garden of friends God has planted in your life…tell them how much they mean to you…nurture it, nourish it, care for it, put energy in it and watch your garden of friends blossom…
i have a few true garden friends…and if your reading this, you know who you are…thank you for coming into my garden and letting me lay down my heart to you time and time again…for knowing when i was vulnerable…knowing when i needed to vent and when i needed a hug…thank you for being you
out for now
hello lovelies…
it’s a beautiful day here in pa…i can see some sunshine…it’s 81 outside…and i’m loving it!!!
we’ve been lovin’ up on big brother…as a family we LOVE that show!!! and i totally admit, i’m a freak with it. every year i have someone that i just can’t STAND! well this year it’s ronnie. cna’t stand him not a single bit. he is sooooo sneaky, just like a weasel. and of course jessie, i think he looks like robbie rotten. so far my favs are laura and jordan.
we had a full weekend this past weekend…friday we had to run to altoona to return something for joey. since we were already in altoona it was a shame to not eat at outback (wink wink)…it is TOTALLY my precious!!! we went into one or two stores and then left altoona…heading to our friends jack and mandys house for a little get together they had. we haven’t seen them for ages and we had a great time there.
saturday i cleaned mostly all day and then we went to the curwensville days parade saturday evening. it rained on us a little but then cleared up. we enjoy parades so much as a family, i love it. i bet before joe was with me he never in a million years thought he would be sitting at a parade, lol.
sunday we went to church and then just hung out at home…did some outside work, went for a bike ride, cooked a really good ham, watched a movie and spent time together. it’s sooooo nice to just stay home once in a while and relax!!!
tomorrow i start 3 solid days of running…i will be at houtzdale days thursday, friday and saturday doing peewee cheerleading signups. so if your daughter goes to moshannon valley and is in either 4th, 5th or 6th grade come join us!!!
out for now
