I am SO super excited, I just had to share. I just saw that my Elsie Flannigan book was shipped today! I just can’t wait to get it. Also my Memory Works order should be at home when I get there (new Rhonna Farrer stamps!) and my LSS is having a SUPER huge sale. This is the ultimate scrapping week, I’m in Heaven!!!!
Ooooohhhh Another Day
Welp here I am, another day another dollar. Right now I’m sitting at work blogging, lol. I didn’t get any scrapping done last night, the kids had church and we were just way too busy. Tonight I need to get stuff ready for the yardsale at Jack & Jills this Saturday. How cool is a SCRAPBOOK yardsale?!?! I just can’t wait. I am going to have a table and sell some of my older stuff. But I am also going under the assumption of buying others stuff. My problem is I hoard my supplies, so even if I know I’m not going to use it I still can’t get rid of it. It was like pulling teeth for me to get the little box I have ready now. I’m such a dang pack-rat. Tonight I am forcing myself to clean out my stash.
On another note, I just checked out Elsie’s blog (I check it every morning) and she has one awesome painting on there that she did. It is just amazingly beautiful, so fresh and fun. Gosh I wish I had a personality like hers. She is so bubbly and fun. I ordered her new book, can’t WAIT to get it in my hands!!!! Then I’m sure I’ll be a scrappin’ fool.
Off to work now, kisses kisses
Latest and Greatest
This is my latest layout. I was issued a challenge by a member of my critique group. We are doing some of our takes on Effer Dares. She issued Dare # 27 – Dare to be different. As quoted from the Effer blog: I dare you to be different. I dare you to unleash the artistic possibilities within yourself and within the materials you are creating.I dare you to create a page from found objects(ie. everyday items that are considered junk or trash) and handmade materials (anything you created yourself or alter to make it your own).I dare you to have fun, experiment and try something new!!I had so much FUN doing this layout! I tried to think about what “different” stuff I could use on a layout and then it just came to me, aluminum foil! The picture is mounted on foil and then painted around the pic overflowing onto the foil. The journaling reads: To – Amy From – Your Soul I’ve been listening to you lately and you are much too hard on yourself. Always doubting yourself and feeling inadequate. I called to tell you that you are so wrong. Feel the confidence on the inside that you show on the outside.
